PACLAND sponsors Sacajawea Elementary School’s Move-a-Thon to raise money for a playground renovation. Sacajawea Elementary School, part of the Seattle School District, is in the midst of an aggressive effort to modernize and increase the safety of their playground areas and in turn improve the health of their students. For this fundraiser students sought out sponsors to support their efforts to run laps around a track while the PTA sought out businesses in the community to support the kid through one time donations. PACLAND was excited to be a part of this event and is always seeking ways to give back to the communities our multiple offices serve.

Cabela’s opened the doors on its second store in Washington State at Tulalip’s Quil Ceda Village located about 30 miles north of Seattle. PACLAND is excited to be a partner with Cabela's, a company known for a strong brand and world-renowned reputation for delivering quality merchandise, value, and high levels of customer service. The Tulalip location, adjacent to previous PACLAND projects including Seattle Premium Outlets and the Tulalip Resort Casino, was built in Cabela’s next-generation layout, designed to surround customers in an outdoor-like experience with trophy animal mounts and wildlife displays. The Tulalip Retail Store features 112,000 square feet of retail space on a 12 acre site. This fast-track project was completed in 28 weeks, accelerated from an original 30 week schedule. Construction began on August 11, 2011 and the team achieved substantial completion and occupancy on February 24, 2012. PACLAND provided civil engineering, landscape architecture, permitting assistance, and construction support services to Cabela’s for this location.

Westfield Southcenter wins ICSC U.S. Design and Development Gold Award for Renovation or Expansion of an Existing Project. PACLAND played in integral role with the project conceptual layout, entitlements, permitting, and civil related plans. PACLAND continues to support the center today with expansions and renovations.

Fibre Federal Credit Union in Kelso, Washington is complete and open to the public. PACLAND in a partnership with EHS Design and Momentum Construction successfully completed design, permitting, and construction within one year.

WinCo Foods opens new store in Everett, Washington. PACLAND assisted WinCo Foods in the redevelopment of a existing retail facility located on 19th Avenue SE in Everett. PACLAND provided entitlement services, civil engineering, landscape architecture, permitting coordination and construction support services to support WinCo Foods.

Westfield Southcenter Mall celebrates the Grand Opening of Seafood City Supermarket July 22nd. The renovation of the former anchor tenant on the northside of the existing mall also includes Grill City, Atlas Cargo and Valerio's Tropical Bakeshop. Chowking, Tokyo Tokyo, Jollibee and Red Ribbon Bakeshop will open soon thereafter. PACLAND provided civil consulting services throughout the process.

May 23-25, 2010
Leaders from each of the PACLAND offices to attend the 2010 ICSC Real Estate Convention in Las Vegas, NV. PACLAND will once again make its annual voyage to Las Vegas in support of its national clients in order to assist in owner-tenant discussions, monitor retail market development trends, and connect with new national retailers and developers able to benefit from PACLAND's expertise.

PACLAND selected as the On-Call cost estimating engineer for the Port of Olympia. PACLAND will be providing cost-estimating services for future construction projects on Port of Olympia property.

Spring 2010
Highmark Investments' Medical Office development in Issaquah, WA is currently under construction. Progressive Low Impact Development (LID) design techniques were integrated into the project to manage stormwater runoff impacts and reduce construction costs. LID techniques implemented include Bioretention for stormwater flow control and a media filter strip for water quality. Post-construction images coming soon!

Construction has come to successful completion on a new Information Technology building for the Grays Harbor Public Utilities District in Aberdeen, WA. PACLAND provided civil engineering, permitting coordination, and construction support for this new facility.

PACLAND expands its Data Center site selection services to include East Coast USA, Asia, and northern Europe regions.

PACLAND selected as On-Call Civil Engineer for Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles and Sequim, WA. PACLAND will provide on-call services for infrastructure and access improvements during Olympic Medical Center's masterplanning and expansion efforts.

PACLAND selected to provide civil and transportation engineering services for a Public Safety Complex in the South Puget Sound Region with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Washington State Department of Corrections as the permitting and approval authorities.

PACLAND is further solidifying its expertise in public sector projects by securing contracts with the City of Clarkston and City of Woodland to provide transportation engineering design, permitting and construction administration services.

PACLAND is chosen to assist Kohl's Department Stores with site selection, layout services, and entitlement services for projects located on the west coast.

PACLAND plays leading role in the 450,000 Sq. Ft. Westfield Southcenter shopping mall expansion.

The Westfield Southcenter Shopping Mall recently unveiled a 450,000 sq. ft. expansion increasing the northwest landmark shopping mall by 34 percent. PACLAND played in integral role with the project conceptual layout, entitlements, permitting, and civil related plans which were designed to maximize leasable space and yet allow the existing mall to operate during the expansion process. Included in the project were additional standalone buildings for Bank of America, The Cheesecake Factory, and Fidelity Investments along with two new parking garages and upgraded landscaping and pedestrian walkways.
