TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER/DESIGNER
Design Engineers in our Transportation Division work on fast-paced transportation projects, where they are engaged in roadway and intersection design efforts. This will include storm drainage, water, sewer, street lighting, and traffic signal design. Experience in, and understanding of the principles of traffic engineering, including preparation of traffic impact studies, is also desirable. In this position, an Engineer will gain familiarity with the public approval process, including the challenging WSDOT permitting process. Duties will include preparing preliminary, and final construction documents for roadway and intersection projects. Individuals in this position will produce the following plans: Horizontal Control, Grading, Stormwater Conveyance/Detention/Retention, Erosion Control, Utilities (water and sewer), Signing, Striping, Signal, Illumination and Traffic Control.
Requirements for this position include:
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification
- Two years experience in Transportation Design
- Proficient with AutoCAD R14, R2000, R2004, or R2005
- Experience with Softdesk/Land Development Desktop, StormSHED, and WWHMV2 is a plus
