TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER
Project Managers in our Transportation Division manage fast-paced transportation projects. In this position, the Project Manager will lead design efforts on roadway and intersection projects, including storm drainage, water, sewer, street lighting, and traffic signal design. Experience in, and understanding of the principles of traffic engineering, including preparation of traffic impact studies, is also desirable. This individual will provide engineering and consulting services to a clientele of private developers and will navigate projects through the public approval process, including the challenging WSDOT permitting process. Duties will include preparing preliminary and final construction documents for roadway and intersection projects; and obtaining agency approval of permits. Individuals in this position are experienced in design aspects and capable of producing the following plans: Horizontal Control, Grading, Stormwater Conveyance/Detention/Retention, Erosion Control, Utilities (water and sewer), Signing, Striping, Signal, Illumination and Traffic Control. The Project Manager will be capable of performing/directing technical analyses, report writing, project schedule development and workload forecasting. This individual will prepare contract proposals, attend client meetings, coordinate with clients and sub-consultants, market the firm's services, and manage project budgets, staff and project teams. Project Managers are responsible for reviewing all project documents, technical calculations, reports, and plans to confirm their accuracy.
Requirements for this position include:
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience managing groups of 2 to 3 team members
- Minimum of four years experience in Transportation Design
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Softdesk/Land Development Desktop, StormSHED, and WWHMV2
